What Is Forever Living
Forever Living is based in Scottsdale, Arizona and is one of the longest established MLM companies being founded back in 1978 by Rex Maughan.
Rex Maughan started his company by inviting his family and close friends to a meeting where he shared his products and new business plan and has since grown it into a multi-billion dollar international company.
They are now one of the biggest networking and MLM companies having over 9 million independent distributors spread across 150+ different countries.
Forever Living began primarily marketing aloe vera based products and these are still their signature products but they now also has a range of natural bee products, nutritional supplements and essential oils.
The company also founded a charitable organization ‘Forever Giving’ in 2009 that donates funds to help fight against hunger, poverty and provide medical services for needy children around the world.

How To Get Started With Forever Living
There are no fees to join Forever Living and become an Independent Distributor and no minimum order requirements to start selling their products.
However, if you want to earn higher rates of commission, bonuses and incentives then you will need to sponsor other people into the company and meet minimum sales requirements.
Plus once you do start earning commissions then you do have a minimum purchase requirement each month that you have to meet in order to earn any commissions.
To be successful within Forever Living you will need to have good people skills, sponsoring skills and be able to help your downline to duplicate the Forever Living system.
The Forever Living Compensation Plan
The Forever Living Compensation plan is quite complicated, but basically like any networking company the higher your sales and the more people that you recruit the more you can earn.
There are a number of different rank levels that you work towards achieving within the structure and they are:
- Assistant Supervisor
- Assistant Manager
There are multiple ways to earn within the Forever Living commission structure but you will start off with earning 15% on your personal retail sales and your downlines sales until you meet the first target and then your commissions can grow up to 43% as well as having the ability to earn a number of bonuses and incentives.

The Good & Bad About Forever Living
The company is now forty years old and does have a proven track record of success as a company, however I couldn’t actually find any ‘payment proofs’ online for the independent distributors.
In fact there are many people online declaring that Forever Living is an opportunity to avoid at all costs and even claiming that it is nothing but a scam. Read this article in a well-known English newspaper by an ex-distributor
Forever Living does tells potential distributors that the company might not be right for them and that it is not a ‘get-rich-quick scheme’ but will take time and constant work to be able to earn a full-time income.
However, they also say that their system is simple and it is really easy to progress through the ranks so that you can earn a lucrative monthly income.
Unless you can constantly recruit new people into the Forever Living network who are also going to be actively making sales and recruiting themselves you will not be able to earn a living with this company.
Their products are all good quality natural wellness related products that do have significant health benefits and I like that their company philosophy is to help people look better and feel better.
However, these products really aren’t that much different from their competitors and you can easily buy the same type of products elsewhere for a fraction of the price.
Is Forever Living A Good Business Opportunity?
Forever Living is a well-established company that is one of the biggest and oldest within the MLM industry and personally I do not think that they are a scam.
However, their product line may have been unique back in 1978, but these days you can easily buy the same type of products at your local health food shop or from one of the numerous companies online for a better price.
I do personally love aloe vera and its amazing health properties, however fresh aloe vera is fairly cheap for most people to buy it, though I wouldn’t even consider doing that as I have several large pots of it growing outside my home
There may well be a number of people who have been successful over the years within the Forever Living business, but you need to also look at the fact that they have been recruiting distributors since 1978 who are all promoting the same line of products.
Personally I prefer to promote a wide range of products and be able to choose any new one that ‘takes my eye’, which is why I am involved with affiliate marketing. I don’t have to meet any minimum monthly personal sales targets or badger people to meet their targets either.
So in conclusion while the Forever Living business opportunity may be right for some people it is not one I would venture into or recommend to others.
