Having a constant supply of interesting content for your readers is essential if you want them to keep coming back and including website content curation with your content marketing strategy can also do wonders for your niche authority and help boost your backlinks.

It will also increase the likelihood of your content being shared on the various social media platforms. Having your content shared not only increases the visibility of your brand, but also makes Google take notice and give you higher rankings, this can all result in an increased amount of traffic to your website.

Website Content Curation Explored…

Creating your own original content should play the main part in your content marketing strategy, as Google loves original content and if you get your keyword strategy right, it can drive huge amounts of traffic to your website. Though it can take time and inspiration to continually create new posts from scratch.

This is why you should also include website content curation, which is when you share content on your website from other sources.

This doesn’t mean that you just copy and paste someone else’s work and publish it as your own, but that you use their great relevant content within your posts and link back to the original piece. Performing website content curation correctly is an excellent way to get valuable backlinks to your website.

I often use curated content to be inspired by, find new ideas to write about and when doing topic research, so that I can link to them as top sources to emphasise a point about whatever subject I am writing about.

I also regularly find great relevant curated content to add to my various sharing schedules on Pinterest and other social media platforms. The sharing of this different content along with my own cotent increases the visibility factor of my different social media profiles.

Finding all this relevant content takes up valuable time so I recently tried out CurationSoft, one of the many content curation tools that are available online to see if my website content curation could be simplified with it.

How It Works

All you need to do is create a new blogpost and then enter your chosen keyword or phrase in the search box provided choosing which of the sources that you want to get articles from and within seconds a list of different excerpt’s comes up for to you to choose from.

These article summary’s all come with the links back to the original article and you then just simply drag and drop them into your new blog post. You can choose articles from as many different sources as you want, therefore making you blog post content more diverse.

Once you have them within your blog post framework you can then re-order your articles, videos or slide-shares to the layout that you desire and write the relevant text around them.

Once you have completed your post you can see a preview of it and then either publish it directly to your website from the Curationsoft platform or copy it to paste in yourself.

 Website Content Curation

Final Thoughts..

Curationsoft is a great tool that is really easy to use and can generate a huge amount of website content curation in no time at all from a variety of different resources.

One thing I don’t like about CurationSoft is that if you publish your curated content directly from the platform, it generates a pingback to the blog you are linking to.

I’m not a fan of pingbacks as they are too often just a way for someone to spam a website and I have them disabled on my websites, so I’m not going to start sending them out to every article that I link to. Also, the excerpt’s are exact carbon copies of the original, so unless you were specifically quoting that piece of the article you will need to rewrite them with your own words.

Saying that though I have found this tool really useful with helping me find a large amount of relevant content in the minimum time possible.

As I have previously mentioned we need to have a constant flow of new relevant content to publish in order to keep both Google and our readers happy and this tool can definitely help you with this ongoing task.

Also having great content enhances the likelihood of it being shared on the different social media platform, this along with higher rankings will all result in more traffic and therefore ultimately conversions.

Have you tried CurationSoft yet and if so did you find it useful for your website content curation?
